PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy Policy
HakoRobo has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Your screenshots, screen recordings and photos are never sent to the developer. Only when you sort with AI, and only after you agree, are app names and similar details sent to an AI service.
1. Who is responsible
The developer of HakoRobo (shown as the seller on the App Store) is responsible for the processing described here. Contact: support.otetudai@gmail.com.
2. Information that stays on your iPhone
The following is processed and stored only on your device and is not sent to the developer. Deleting the app deletes it.
- App names and icons read from screenshots and screen recordings (reading happens on the device; the images and videos themselves are not saved)
- Your list of apps, your boxes, sorting results and widget settings
- Photos you choose for widgets (stored in a smaller size on the device)
- Sorting, widget requests and help questions handled by the on-device AI (Apple Intelligence)
3. What is sent for AI sorting (JEV)
Only if you subscribe to HakoRobo AI and choose “Send and sort” in the app, the following is sent through this app's server (Cloudflare) to “JEV”, an AI service by TypeSafe (United States), to sort your apps:
- The names of the apps to sort (including names read from screenshots)
- Their public App Store details (genre, developer, the start of the description)
- Your box names and what they are for
Apps whose App Store genre alone decides the box are not sent. Screenshot images, icon images, photos, your name or email address and device identifiers are not sent to TypeSafe. This app's server does not store app names. TypeSafe states in its privacy policy that it does not use customers' inputs to train AI models and that its service is hosted in the United States. You can stop sending at any time in Settings; the on-device AI then sorts instead. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Usage records
Apple-signed purchase proof is sent to this app's server to verify your subscription. It is used only during verification, is not saved, and is never sent to TypeSafe. To run the AI reliably and prevent abuse, only daily and monthly usage totals associated with an identifier without your name are kept and deleted after about 2 months.
5. Matching with the App Store
When “Match with the App Store” is on in Settings, the app names read are sent to Apple's App Store search to get the real icons, genres and how to open each app from the App Store. Nothing is sent when it is off. Icons of the main apps in the built-in list are fetched from Apple's public App Store information by their App Store numbers. Apple handles this information under Apple's privacy policy.
6. Photo access
Your photo library is used, with iOS permission, only when you load screenshots or screen recordings and when you choose photos for a widget. Nothing else is read, and photos are never sent.
7. Opening other apps
Other apps are opened with iOS features (URLs and universal links). Checking which apps are installed happens on the device and is not sent.
8. Purchases (HakoRobo AI)
The monthly plan is bought and paid through Apple's App Store. The developer does not receive your payment information. Your purchase status is checked on the device with StoreKit and verified by this app’s server using Apple-signed purchase proof.
9. Transfers outside your country
Data sent for AI sorting is processed in the United States by TypeSafe and passes through Cloudflare's network. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, the transfer is based on your explicit consent given in the app.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the developer holds no account or name for you, most of your data lives only on your device, where you can delete it in Settings > Delete Data or by deleting the app. The usage records cannot be linked to you and are deleted automatically after about 2 months; you can also contact us with any request. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Support site
This site is served by Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, times and browser information needed for secure delivery and to prevent abuse. This site does not use cookies, forms, JavaScript or analytics.
12. Contact
If you email us, we use your email address, message and any attachments only as needed to reply. support.otetudai@gmail.com
13. Changes
We may update this policy when features or laws change, and will post important changes on this page. Effective date: September 26, 2026. Last updated: October 12, 2026.
